There have been a couple of updates since the last post. Here are the three most recent. Notice the new weapons and the restructuring of luxon/kurzick faction.
Update - Friday June 16
* Added Priests of Balthazar to all Alliance Battle outposts. * Added 4 new maps to the Random Arena and the Team Arena. * Fixed a bug that caused the caravan to stop moving in Gyala Hatchery. * Fixed bugs and made improvements to the following quest: The Shadow Blade. * Fixed the descriptions of several Ranger skills, which were displaying incorrect values after the last update. * Fixed a bug that caused henchmen to drop gold when they died. * Fixed a bug that caused monsters to drop loot even if your party had no part in killing them. * Fixed a bug in PvP that caused dead players to receive morale boosts for the deaths of opposing team members.
Update - Thursday June 15
* Added the winning items from a recent community contest to the game. (See The Scribe for more information.) * Added faction bonuses for individual kills in alliance battles and competitive missions. Each kill awards the team's members with 1 Luxon or Kurzick faction point and 3 Balthazar faction points. * Improved faction bonuses awarded at the end of an alliance battle. Both the winning and losing teams' members earn 2 Luxon or Kurzick faction points for each point scored during battle. The winning team's members receive an additional 250 Luxon or Kurzick faction points. * Improved faction bonuses awarded at the end of the Jade Quarry competitive mission. For each jade slab brought to a team's base, the team's members receive 40 Luxon or Kurzick faction points. The winning team's members receive an additional 250 Luxon or Kurzick faction points. * Improved faction bonuses awarded at the end of the Fort Aspenwood competitive mission. For each gate that was knocked down at least once, the Luxon team's members receive 80 Luxon faction points. For each percentage point of progress toward Gods' Vengeance, the Kurzick team's members receive 4 Kurzick faction points. The winning team's members receive an additional 250 Luxon or Kurzick faction points. * Added a confirmation dialog when attempting to sell an equipped or hot-keyed inventory item. * Corrected the levels of several NPCs in The Divine Path. * Updated the location of the dye trader in Kaineng Center.
ITEM UPGRADES
Updates over the past several months have improved a number of weapons and armors; these updates applied only to newly generated items, not to items already in player inventories. This update applies past improvements to the following inventory items: Victo's Battle Axe, Drago's Flatbow, Stoneherder's Flatbow, Tarnok's Recurve Bow, the Bludgeoner, Flint's Wand, Korvald's Cane, Ivor's Smiting Rod, Brimstone Wand, Gordac's Needle, Bortak's Bone Claw, Ritualist Shaman's Obsidian Armor, Elementalist Aeromancer's Armor, Elementalist Geomancer's Armor, Elementalist Hydromancer's Armor, Elementalist Pyromancer's Armor, Warrior Knight's Armor, Warrior Ascalon Armor, Warrior Dragon Armor, Warrior Platemail Armor, Monk Censor's Armor, Monk Judge's Armor, Monk Wanderer's Armor, Monk Sacred Armor, Monk Saintly Armor, and Mesmer Rogue's Armor.
Update - Friday June 9
* Improved the way henchmen choose to use resurrection skills. * Fixed bugs and made improvements to the following quests: Cash Crops, A New Escort, Death with Honor, The Egg Hunter, The Drunken Master, In the Army Now [Kurzick], and In the Army Now [Luxon]. * Fixed the merchants and Avatar of Grenth in Pongmei Valley so that they respond to players. * Allowed foreign visitors in Shing Jea Monastery to enter the Shing Jea Arena Outpost. * Added visible resurrection countdown timers to the Jade Quarry and Fort Aspenwood competitive missions. The Unyielding Aura and Vengeance skills now work properly in these missions. * Fixed a bug with resurrection timers in alliance battles. * Fixed a crash bug related to the use of several miniature creatures. * Fixed a bug that caused Vizunah Square to appear as though it had been completed with a Master's Reward when, in fact, it had only been completed with a Standard or Expert's Reward. This caused some players to believe incorrectly that they had completed the Protector of Cantha title. * Fixed a bug that prevented some players from correctly unlocking the Random Arena outpost. * Fixed an exploit related to the use of seeds in the Druid's Isle guild battle map.

There have been a bunch of updates in the past couple weeks. Here are a few of them.
I like the hidden feature that allows you to split stacks of items in your inventory...
Update - Monday July 24
Pets now receive a Morale Boost when the team they are on earns a Morale Boost. New character sorting options are available on the character selection screen.
Amended Update Notes for July 13
Updated Ranger pets to acquire Death Penalty when they die. This currently applies on PvP maps only. Updated the wording of Shouts to use the phrase "within earshot". This is not a change to how the skills work. It is only meant as a clarification of how large their range is. The size keywords for area-of-effect skills are now: Adjacent: Melee attack range. Nearby: One and a half times Adjacent range. In the Area: Two times Adjacent range. Within Earshot: Three times Adjacent range.
Update - Friday July 14
Added a new collector in Snake Dance, just outside Camp Rankor. This collector exchanges the Carapace Shields given out by Hagnon Warblade that were incorrectly modified by the last update. Shield dye color is unaffected by this exchange. Fixed a bug in the Assassin Moebius Strike skill. It no longer recharges itself. Fixed a bug that caused the Guild Lord’s Amulet of Protection to fail against life-stealing skills.
Update - Thursday July 13
Imperial Supplymaster Kagno is no longer stationed in Shing Jea Monastery. Added a crafting material storage upgrade for the Xunlai Agent storage vault. To purchase the upgrade, visit one of the new Xunlai Representatives in Shing Jea Monastery or Kaineng Center. (PvP characters gain access to the crafting material storage once any roleplaying character on the account purchases it.) Added the ability to split stacks of inventory items. Holding the Shift key while dragging a stack of items allows you to "split off" a portion of the stack before moving it. Modified the algorithm that causes the alliance battle line to shift. A faction that pushes into enemy territory will temporarily gain a "momentum bonus" that helps it drive the battle line further into enemy territory. Added support for EAX audio when sound quality is set to maximum. Modified the Burning Isle guild battle map so that Flame Cursed Sentinels are now Lesser Flame Sentinels. Lesser sentinels are vulnerable to all Conditions, do not heal when out of combat, and slowly die on their own in the first 25 minutes of the match. Updated Mesmer Courtly and Virtuoso armor sets so that the +15 armor bonus applies only to the piece the bonus is on, not to the entire body. The bonus is now active whenever the equipping character activates any skill (not just spells). Updated Warrior Ascalon and Knight's armor sets so that the damage reduction applies only when the corresponding location of the body is struck. The damage reduction applies only to physical damage, and the amount of reduced damage was increased from 2 to 3. Updated shields, armors, and runes with damage reduction abilities so that they only reduce physical damage. Increased the inherent armor level on all unique (green text), promotional, crafted, and collector shields so that they behave the same way as other shields when the characters equipping them do not meet the necessary attribute requirement. Updated all Ascalon Bows so that they now include their bow type in the name. Raised the armor penetration bonus for the following promotional items: Bonecrusher, Bear's Sloth, Rhino's Sloth, and Rhino's Charge. Raised the conditional Energy bonus on the following promotional items: Quicksilver, Unicorn's Wrath, Peacock's Wrath, and Luminescent Scepter. Raised the conditional damage reduction on the following promotional items: Bronze Guardian, Hog's Gluttony, Spiders Gluttony, and Serrated Shield. Removed the increased attack rate and decreased damage attributes from the fire wand found at the collector outside of Nolani Academy. Reduced the chance to halve skill recharge time from 20% to 10% on Rockmolders dropped prior to the item being corrected. Fixed bugs and made improvements to the following quests: The True King, A Monk's Mission, and A Second Profession. Improved support for hardware acceleration on some low-end audio cards. Fixed a bug that caused a number of skill sounds to play incorrectly as non-positional sounds. Improved the pathing in the Sunjiang District explorable area and the Imperial Sanctum outpost. SKILL UPDATES
All
Lowered the cap for Healing Reduction to 40%. * Lowered the cap for Recharge Reduction to 50%. * You can no longer be knocked down immediately after you respawn from a resurrection shrine. * Note: like all reduction caps, these only affect the cap from multiple sources. Any single skill that exceeds this cap will still work. Thus, skills such as Lingering Curse or Ritual Lord still gain their full effect.

They seem to have a new login screen today. There is a link to get to the official Guild Wars Store, but it doesn't work yet. Here is a screen cap:

I'm so thrilled to see the removal of collision detection for party members. My dervish (which seem especially susceptible to being blocked) was getting VERY tired of getting hung up in a mob of minions.

This isn't an update, but it's a press release about a FUTURE update. All I can say is.... WOOT! GUILD WARS EXCEEDS THREE MILLION SOLD Breakthrough Game Series Hits Major Milestone as ArenaNet Announces Wintersday Festival and Exciting New Game Features December 13, 2006 (BELLEVUE, WA) — Fuelled by sales of the hit game Guild Wars NightfallTM, the latest release in the award-winning Guild Wars® franchise, sales for one of the world's leading subscription-free online roleplaying games have surpassed three million units worldwide in a little more than a year and a half. This milestone event was announced today by ArenaNet®, developer of Guild Wars®, Guild Wars FactionsTM, and Guild Wars NightfallTM, and NCsoft® Corporation, the world's leading developer and publisher of online computer games. "Reaching three million units sold in such a short amount of time is absolutely incredible," says Robert Garriott, CEO, NCsoft North America. "Coupled with the recent news of Guild Wars Factions winning Billboard's Multiplayer Game of the Year, we couldn't be prouder of what the team at ArenaNet has accomplished with the Guild Wars games." In further news, ArenaNet announced today the details of the in-game Wintersday Festival, as well as some exciting new features to be implemented in the game over the holiday season. Wintersday 2006 — Special in-game events have become fan favorites the world over, and during this holiday season Guild Wars players will be in for another Wintersday Festival! During this event, players will find favorite outposts dressed to the nines with holiday décor, as they are invited to complete holiday-themed quests, participate in PvP snowball fights, and receive unique holiday rewards such as Winter Gifts, a Snowman Summoner, Eggnog, and Candy Canes. Wintersday 2006 will take place in-game December 20, 2006 through January 1, 2007. Visit www.guildwars.com for more event details. Party Search — A brand new Party Search panel will be added to Guild Wars this December, which will allow players to more easily form groups. Casual and hard-core gamers alike will benefit from this new system, as it will make it easier for players to form parties for some of the tougher quests and missions in the game, find the last cog needed for a fearsome group that can tear through the PvP arenas, or just connect with old friends online to go explore the diverse Guild Wars world. Reconnect After Disconnect — One of the most player-requested features comes to Guild Wars! If a player gets dropped from the game due to a connection problem, and that player can reconnect within ten minutes, the player's character will be relocated to the spot of disconnection. If the character was performing an action, such as casting a spell or auto-attacking a target, that character will complete the action as if still connected. If a player is in a group when disconnected, the other members of the party will be notified about the player's connection problems.

Here's an interesting update. Sounds like there will be mini's for peope that buy selected magazines. Update - Thursday March 15 Enabled the Asura miniature, which can be obtained by purchasing a copy of selected game magazines in North America and Europe. Miniatures will now occasionally enter their alert battle stances. Asura Miniature PicOK, now that I see it, it seems to me that this was discussed in another thread...

Not an Update yet, but from this week's Scribe:Xunlai Storage Expands
The Xunlai Agents have exciting news! They plan to grant everyone additional storage. Veteran travelers who venture into every corner of the world will receive the greatest rewards, however, because storage capacity will increase with each region—Tyria, Cantha, and Elona—that you frequent. Thus, even if you spend all of your time in a single area, your storage will increase, giving you an additional vault from that region to add to your original storage box. If you are a world traveler like me, and if you journey through all three realms, your storage will quadruple, for you will receive three additional vaults to add to your Xunlai box.
Xunlai storage specialists have listened to the complaints from travelers that storage chests are simply too small to hold treasures from all over the world. After numerous journeys across three distinct lands, replete with noteworthy and valuable items, some adventurers have been forced to discard items they would have preferred to keep, simply because they did not have sufficient storage space. Their entreaties have been heard and responded to.
Truly you must agree that this is remarkable news indeed! We will likely hear an audible sigh of relief from packrats, treasure collectors, and traders the world over. Be sure to check your storage vault in the next few days for this magnanimous gift, and join me in extending a word of thanks to the worthy Xunlai Agents.Hmmm.... wonder if this will be 'free' like the other storage upgrades were?

Developing a top tier game these days is expensive. $10M budgets are typical, they can go considerably higher. A company spending that much money in such a high risk investment will want to hedge their bets as much as possible, and by supporting GW they are maximizing the potential number of players that will migrate to their new game. If half of GW players migrate to GW2 they will open their doors to over a million players. As I recall it took WoW a couple of weeks to exceed a million players. GW 1 a couple of months.
I rather think that NCSoft will stop distributing new boxed editions of the game, forcing people that want to play to purchase online because those sales are pure profit now and also push other products through their online store. There has been mention of GW Tee Shirts and if that happens certainly there will be a whole line of 'swag' to go with. Time will tell I suppose, but I think that the marketing dept will have it all well in hand all the way through development. NCSoft is very very good at that.

I actually prefer to buy keys online, but GW seems to go out of their way to complicate it by allowing a 3rd party to deal with it and limiting the number of keys that you can buy. When Factions came out I had planned to buy all my copies online but was forced to get them in boxed format from an online place instead. Was frustrating.

HUGE new update....
Update - Wednesday April 4 from Guild Wars - Game Updates
PvP Changes
Account Naming
* You may now assign a unique name to your account. This name will be used by automated tournaments and ladder-ranked Hero Battles. * To name your account, speak with Tolkano [Tournament], who is located in the Great Temple of Balthazar, the Hero Battles outpost, and all guild halls. * You may select as your account name the name of any one of your characters. * As long as your account name exists, no one else may use it as a character or account name. * If you delete the character after which your account was named, your account name will remain unchanged. * You may change your account name no more than once every 30 days.
Hero Battles
* The Hero Battle panel now offers two options: rated and unrated Hero Battles. * Players may participate in Hero Battles once they name their accounts. * The results of rated Hero Battles appear in the Hero Battle tab of your Hero panel. Wins and losses affect your Hero Battle rating and your standing on the Hero Battle ladder. * The Hero Battle ladder will be viewable on the Guild Wars website by the end of the week. * Players are matched according to their Hero Battle ratings. * The central shrine's "To the Pain" buff has been modified so that it now reduces healing effectiveness by 10% (instead of reducing maximum Health by 10%).
Guild Battles
* The visual appearance of the Guild Battle panel has been improved and modified so that it more closely mirrors the look of the Hero Battle panel.
Preparations for Automated Tournaments
* Servers have been updated in preparation for the upcoming open beta test of the Guild Wars Automated Tournament system. * For further information about Automated Tournaments, please visit the Competitive Play section of the Guild Wars website.
Account Storage
* Account storage has been expanded to include a Storage Box for each Guild Wars campaign you own.
Pet Controls
* The Pet Control panel may be accessed by pressing the button next to the pet’s name in the Party panel. * The Pet Control panel displays a pet's name, portrait, command buttons, and Health Bar. * Pets can be instructed to "attack," "guard," and "heel" through the use of the panels' command buttons.
Obtaining the Hero Razah
The method of gaining the Ritualist Hero Razah has been updated so that it no longer requires gemstones from the Domain of Anguish. Players who have already gained Razah as a Hero are now able to complete a quest that will return their Anguish gemstones.
* Updated the quest "Finding a Purpose." Players are no longer required to provide Anguish gemstones to enter the Heart of Abaddon. The original version of the "Finding a Purpose" quest has been removed. * Added the new quest, "Money Back Guarantee." Players who have already completed the quest "Finding a Purpose" will now be able to obtain the "Money Back Guarantee" quest from Keeper Shafoss in the Abaddon’s Gate outpost. Completing this quest will reward them with one of each type of gemstone. * Players who have partially completed the "Finding a Purpose" quest by turning their gemstones in to Keeper Milzesh will be able to complete the quest. They will then be able to obtain the "Money Back Guarantee" quest from Keeper Shafoss. * Players who currently have the "Finding a Purpose" quest in their Quest Log but have not yet turned their gemstones in to Keeper Milzesh, will now need to speak to Chaplain Phyratyss in the Gate of Anguish to get the new version of the quest. Their Quest Log will be updated with the new information. * Players who have neither taken nor completed "Finding a Purpose" will receive the new version of the quest when they speak to Chaplain Phyratyss in the Gate of Anguish. * If players have turned their gemstones in to Keeper Milzesh but have not completed the "Finding a Purpose" quest, they should NOT abandon the quest. If they abandon the quest after this step, there will be no record of their gemstone exchange. This will prevent a player from being offered the "Money Back Guarantee" quest.
Mission Updates
* Gyala Hatchery: The skill sets used by Argo and Endre have been improved. These NPCs will now assist players properly in combat. * Divinity Coast: When approached, the chosen villagers will now appear on the player's Party bar. * D'Alessio Seaboard: When approached, Benji Makala will now appear on the player's Party bar.
User Interface Improvements
Skills Interface
* Added collapsible groups to all skill lists. * "Sort by Attribute" groups will now automatically expand and collapse to show skills in which a player has invested attribute points. * Added a "Sort by Elite Status" option to all skill lists.
Skills Template Interface
* Added an interface to allow players to link template codes into chat. This interface can be accessed through the new Template Codes option in the template menu. * Clicking a template code link will bring up the new interface, which will allow other players to view the linked template and its template code. They can then choose to save or apply this template directly through the interface window.
Recent Teammates
* Added a list of recent teammates and trade partners to the Friends panel. This list will remain populated until a player logs out.
Miscellaneous Interface Updates
* Updated all Prophecies NPC interactions so that they use buttons instead of text links. * Improved the organization of runes listed by Rune Traders and the Priests of Balthazar. Runes are now categorized by profession. * Improved the Target Display to show the target’s team color. * Weapon Bar hotkeys now work while the Weapon Bar is hidden. * The match countdown timer is now part of the Score Box control, so its position can be customized. * Added progress bars to the Effects Monitor to show the remaining times for Hexes, Enchantments, Conditions, and other timed effects. * A portion of your Health Bar now turns gray when you suffer from a Deep Wound. * Added a key that clears the current target. This key can be bound through the "Targeting: Clear Target" option in the Control options panel (Menu> Options> Control).
AI Updates
* Improved Hero and henchman response to called targets. * Skills can now be prioritized while Heroes and henchmen are en route to a flag. * Once your Heroes or henchmen get within a certain range of their flag, they will stop trying to reach that flag if there is unwalkable terrain or if it is occupied by an enemy.
Audio Updates
* Software audio mode (default) now uses the FMOD audio system for improved performance. (Notice: FMOD Sound System, copyright© Firelight Technologies Pty, Ltd., 1994-2007.) * EAX occlusion is now calculated for all sounds at better-than-default quality settings.
Skill Updates
Assassin
* Assassin's Remedy: Now works on your next 1..10 attack skills. * Black Mantis Thrust: decreased Energy cost to 5. * Dancing Daggers: increased damage to 5..35. * Golden Lotus Strike: decreased recharge time to 10 seconds. * Jagged Strike: increased Bleeding duration to 1..15, decreased recharge time to 1 second. * Malicious Strike: increased damage to 10..30. * Recall: changed to "While you maintain Recall, nothing happens. By 'free' I meant I wonder if the Xulani agent will require 50 g per storage box... Guess I should log in and find out...

Nope, no gold required. But I'm MOST excited about pet controls. I've always wanted my monk to be able to smite off of a pet. Or for my ranger to use hers as a meat shield more efficiently. Or maybe even my dervish! How exciting!!!

Julie is most disturbed that her Soul Reaping has been nerfed. They shouldn't make Julie angry...

I agree about Soul Reaping. Necromancers are going to have a harder time now. Gonna have to jump in this weekend and see how bad it is...

Seems to be ANet's goal to control monks by limiting their energy supply... we've seen it over and over again. Now the latest flavor of monk is actually a Necro/Rit, using spirits to fuel their soul reaping and add some chaos as well. Bye bye spiritway? Maybe, I guess we'll see.

date - Thursday April 19 from Guild Wars - Game Updates Hard Mode Hard mode has been introduced for the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns. Players who have completed a campaign can now try playing it again in Hard mode for the ultimate challenge. By playing the game in Hard mode, players can find new treasures and earn new titles and rewards.
Now that players can choose their difficulty level, we've adjusted monster AI in Normal mode to present a more moderate challenge. The most advanced and difficult monster behaviors are now reserved for Hard mode. (Note: Certain elite missions may be extremely difficult to complete in Hard mode. We will examine these missions and make any necessary changes at a later date.)
Changes to Normal Mode
The following monster AI modifications have been made to Normal mode only. Monsters in Hard mode continue to use the most challenging AI available.
* Monsters in Normal mode now respond more slowly to AoE damage. * Monsters in Normal mode are now less likely to kite for long periods of time. * Melee monsters in Normal mode will once again focus all of their attacks on a single target.
Accessing Hard Mode
* To gain access to a campaign's Hard mode, you must win the final mission for that campaign in Normal mode. * Once you win a campaign with any character on your account, every level 20 character on that same account will have access to Hard mode for that campaign. * All Hard mode content is intended for level 20 characters. All monsters are at least level 20, and all henchmen who are below level 20 are automatically promoted to level 20 when taken into Hard mode.
Hard Mode Loot
* The average number of uncommon and rare items has been increased in Hard mode. * While in Hard mode, the number of gemstones that players receive from chests after defeating each region of the Domain of Anguish has been doubled. * Elite and non-elite Skill Tomes have been introduced into the game. You can acquire these new items by defeating creatures while in Hard mode. o There is a non-elite Skill Tome that corresponds with each of the ten professions. You may use a Skill Tome to learn any non-elite skill associated with that Tome's correlated profession if that skill is unlocked on your account. Non-elite Skill Tomes may be obtained from any normal creature in Hard mode. o There is an Elite Skill Tome that corresponds with each of the ten professions. You may use a Skill Tome to learn any elite skill associated with that Tome's correlated profession if that skill is unlocked on your account. Elite Skill Tomes may be obtained from any boss creature in Hard mode.
Hard Mode Rewards
* Players will receive the following gold, experience, and skill point rewards while in Hard mode: o Prophecies Mission Completion: 500 gold + 2,000 xp + 1 skill point. o Prophecies Bonus Completion: 500 gold + 2,000 xp + 1 skill point. o Factions and Nightfall Master’s Reward: 500 gold + 3,000 xp + 1 skill point. o Factions and Nightfall Expert’s Reward: 300 gold + 2,000 xp + 1 skill point. o Factions and Nightfall Standard Reward: 200 gold + 1,000 xp + 1 skill point.
Hard Mode Titles
Vanquisher Title
* A new Vanquisher title track has been added for Tyria, Cantha, and Elona. These titles will keep track of which explorable areas have been vanquished in a given campaign's Hard mode. * A new Legendary Vanquisher title track has been added. This title keeps track of the number of campaigns a player has successfully vanquished. * Once an explorable area has been vanquished in Hard mode, players will receive gold equal to three times the number of creatures defeated, and experience equal to five times the number of creatures defeated. * Some explorable areas have regions that are blocked off to players until the associated mission has been completed. It is recommended that players complete the mission before trying to vanquish the explorable area of the same name. * In Hard Mode, if all party members of a group are dead and at 60% Death Penalty, they will be returned to the outpost instead of being resurrected.
Guardian Title
* A Guardian title track has been added for Tyria, Cantha, and Elona. These titles are the Hard mode version of the existing mission completion titles. * A Legendary Guardian title track has been added. This title keeps track of how many Protector and Guardian titles a player has accumulated throughout Tyria, Cantha, and Elona.
Lockpicks
* Your characters can now acquire lockpicks. These new, special items can be found in Hard mode and may also be purchased from any merchant (with the exception of those found in Pre-Searing Ascalon). o The chance to retain a lockpick upon opening a chest is determined by the following formula: (Character level / 2) + (3 * Treasure Hunter ranks) + (2 * Lucky ranks) (%). o In Normal mode, chests have built-in bonuses that make them easier to open than chests in Hard mode. * Lockpicks may be used to open any locked chest in Normal mode, but they are a requirement for opening any chests in Hard mode.

another huge update from our friends:
Update - Thursday May 24 Automated Tournaments
* Players can now speak with Tolkano [Tournament] to spend their Tournament Reward Points on various armor and weapon skins. * The Automated Tournament clock now changes appearance when it is time to join the current round.
Item Updates
Armor Insignias and Bonuses
* Players can now obtain armor insignias from all campaigns. Profession-restricted insignias will only drop in campaigns in which characters of that profession can be created. o Crafted armor in Prophecies and Factions now supports insignias. The insignia bonuses are meant to replace the previous inherent armor bonuses and require several additional changes: o From this point onward, armor pieces newly crafted in these campaigns will not have inherent bonuses. The crafting costs of these armor pieces have been reduced accordingly. o All existing level 20 armor from these campaigns now have insignias in place of their inherent bonuses. Please note that the bonuses on these armor sets have not been altered. The only change is that these bonuses now come from insignias. o All existing lower-level armor pieces from these campaigns now support insignias but have had their inherent bonuses removed. o Numerous armor sets have been renamed to avoid redundancy with insignia names. * Lower-level collector armor pieces from Prophecies and Factions now support insignias. Level 20 collector armor does not.
Ascended Armor Changes and Additions
* The following changes were made to Ascended armor sets: o The armor sets crafted in Droknar's Forge have been divided between the two armorers in a more organized fashion. o Several Ascended armor sets have been renamed to avoid naming conflicts with the corresponding level 20 armor sets. o A new "Labyrinthine" tattoo set has been added for Monks at Marhan's Grotto. * In Prophecies, Mesmer, Monk, Necromancer, Ranger, and Warrior headgear may now be crafted with a variety of attribute bonus options. * Existing Lieutenant's Helms crafted in Prophecies now have a +1 Tactics bonus in addition to a Lieutenant's Insignia.
Miscellaneous Item Changes
* The Icy Dragon Sword is now considered a rare item. This change also means that it is now exempt from loot scaling. * To help prevent trade scams, "The Heart of Ice" Prophecies quest item no longer shares icon art with sapphires.
Elite Mission Updates
Urgoz's Warren
* Defeating Urgoz now spawns a chest that each player will be able to interact with individually. This chest will grant each player either one inscribable rare item or one of Urgoz's unique items, as well as two chunks of amber. * Players who open this chest while in Hard Mode will receive two item drops and four chunks of amber. * Urgoz no longer drops his unique items himself. * Fixed an exploit where creatures successfully using suicide skills in Urgoz’s Warren still gave loot and experience.
The Deep
* Defeating Kanaxai now spawns a chest that each player will be able to interact with individually. This chest will grant each player either one inscribable rare item or one of Kanaxai's unique items, as well as two chunks of jadeite. * Players who open this chest while in Hard Mode will receive two item drops and four chunks of jadeite. * Kanaxai no longer drops his unique items himself.
The Underworld and Fissure of Woe
* Passage scrolls now have a chance of dropping from monsters slain in the Underworld and the Fissure of Woe so that players have a chance to earn free passage back to these areas.
Help Panel
Players can now access a Help panel by pressing F10 on their keyboard or by typing /help. This new panel contains links to the official Guild Wars Wiki, where players can both obtain and contribute information about their current quests, skills, locations, and guilds.
* The /help emote has changed to /helpme. /help is now used to open the Help panel. * Typing /wiki into the Chat panel opens the front page of the wiki, while typing /wiki followed by a word or phrase searches the entire wiki for that content. (Please note that there is only an English language wiki available at this time.)

Miscellaneous
* Made preparations for the GvG Double Reward Weekend event. * Bow descriptions have been updated to include bow type. * The Observer mode game list now remembers which categories have been collapsed. The automatic selection feature now only chooses from expanded categories.
