Is this thread in English? Does someone have a computer to english dictionary I could borrow? Do we need to start a tech thread somewhere?

You don't speak Geekonese?
Well I got the machine up. Got vent and GW working and the OS all patched. All I got to say is the onboard geforce 6100 is no faster than my geforce 4200. I forsee a 8600 gt in my future quicker than I thought. Got to say I was impressed with Gigabyte, AMD, and Antec. Everything except the OS part went very smooth.

Bought the Orange Box HL2 Ep 1, Ep2, Team Fortress, and portals. Probably won't be on much for a few weeks.

I will be out of town most of next week on a business trip. Not sure how often I'll be online, and I probably won't be in the game at all.

I'm back. Flight landed at 10pm last night. Even though I spent 4 full days in Colorado with a spectacular view of some mountains, I didn't even have time to go sight seeing. It was 16 hours a day of frenzied activity and we were lucky if we had time for a second meal each day.
But it was a helluva lot of fun.

Hmm... No time to be tourist, too bad. I lived in Colorado Springs for a few years as a draftee in the US Army at Ft. Carson.
My wife and I lived in town and spent every weekend traveling all through the mountains, valleys and meadows... very beautiful state.
Some of those 2 track dirt roads thhough the mountains are awsome... mountainside on one side of lane 2000 foot drop on the other, no railings. Breath taking to say the least.
Go back and enjoy it if you ever get the chance.

Yeah. If I get to go back, and it could certainly happen, I'm going to stay an extra day or two and take in the sights.

I just rolled in this morning from a vacation of just over a week. Drive 2200 miles round trip, 18 hours each way. But Friday I fly out to Saint Petersburg Florida for a week long business trip so I guess I still won't be around much...
How many of you know what it's like sitting behind the wheel of a car for 18 hours straight?

Speaking of road trips, I just got back from Dallas where somehow I have hurt my back and cannot stand up. I'm currently in bed on meds. Went to the doctor and it is only a strained muscle but I cannot sit long enough to play GW. This mean I will miss the end of wintersday celebration. I wish I was in my 20's as well. On the bright side my daughter is having fun taking care of me.

I'm back and I think I'm in town for a while now. Just got back from a week long sales meeting in Florida (St Petersburg) for the company, and a two week vacation at my sisters place over christmas.
The sales meeting was awesome! Put 120 sales and marketing people into a room, add an open bar and step back!
I won't bore you with all the details, but there is one thing that happened that's worth describing. They kicked off the week long meeting in the hotels ballroom on the second floor at 9:00am. We were all made to wait in the hallway a few extra minutes. Suddenly a marching band comes out of the ballroom as a signal that it's time to begin. Marching bands at point blank range indoors is deafening!
The VP of Marketing takes the podium briefly to kick thing off. He begins by playing a short film. The film features two bikers leaving Minnesota (corp headquarters) and riding south and east to Florida (where the sales meeting took place). It was a cute show. When it was over, the curtain went up to reveal a live band! They started playing a series of rock songs. They eventually played "Bad to the Bone" and crank the volume way up! Suddenly the CEO and General Manager come up the isle in the middle of the ballroom on the second foor on a pair of choppers!
Keeping in mind that this is all before 9:30am in the hotel! As you can probably guess, the event had a biker theme. Was quite a week of fun, eating and drinking.
