New to BGN and want to say Hello? Tired of lurking and want your voice to be heard? Just want to call to say I love you?
If so then this is the thread to post to!
Any other threads along this line will be closed and/or deleted. Not trying to be rude, just trying to keep the forum organized....can't blame a librarian for trying can you?
Thanks!

Moved by Inda. Sorry trying to keep it all neat and tidy.Samilia the Fair I am Samilia the Fair and am pleased to meet everyone!. I have been reading your posts and think this is the home "away" from home for me while adventuring in Guild Wars. I have read your requirements (as well as everything eles on these boards) and do understand that you want to meet me in person before commiting to offering me a guild spot I cant agree more so with that said let me tell you abit about myself to prepare you for when we do meet. I am a 45 year old grandmother raising my 3 year old grandson, I tell you this because there will be times I have to poof to get him out of trouble or strange words will come from my mouth because he is sitting in my lap "helping" me type! or because he "Needs me" thats his new phrase "Momma I need you" he calls me Momma and his mother mommy (no dont go there). Now I know your thinking OMG! a Grandmother!, trust me you dont have to call me moms or granny (unless you like fire raining about your head) and I wont try to treat you like Daughter or Son (Cant promise that though). I am an easy going person and play online to relieve the stress of everyday life, try raiseing a 3 year old at my age (is why I have chosen this guild, just fun no STRESS) I have been married for 24 years to the SAME person who I love dealry and even though he only uses the computer to play poker or work he understands my need to play and encorages it. I have been playing GW since the 1st WBE and have pre-ordered it so all the rest of the betas as well and I am hooked and now after reading through countless Guild recruitment posts and web sites I have found you (arent you the lucky ones?!). The last MMORPG I played was Doac and that was decent enough for 3 weeks but the grind and politics within the guild got to be too much. I have Beta tested More MMORPGs then I care to remeber AC I ACII SWG E&B Wish and some you probably never heard of (be glad you didnt) and have never stayed after they have gone gold untill now. The most fun in game I have ever had and spent over 6 years in it was Dragon Realms a Full on Text MMORPG and at $38.00 bucks a month for an Estate Holder account you know it must be something to behold but after so long I had to leave but I wont go into that but should you be curiouse ask me. My playing style is such that I want to help everyone even if it kills me, even though I adore being knee deep in blood and gore (Did You know ears if properly preserved make great necklasses!) I am trying to break myself of the motherly/grandmotherly playing style and being a monk in GW is just to much for these old fingers of mine. So that should give you an Idea of who I am though there is much more to know, me being so multi-faceted along with wisdom beyond my years <snort> Ok enough of that lets get down to brass tacks. I have 2 Toons I play and 2 slot I leave open for trying out new builds Samilia the Fair Ele/Me 20th Paradasui Ne'Sin Ranger/Ele 9th I love to do missions but more then that is to head out and just explore even in the mission areas I am a great targeter in the tombs and allways go for the nearest monk first. I dont take crap from anyone this I have to tell you if someone starts to flame I dont back down utill i have had my say, yes I can get bitchy at times but after all these years I am allowed and I never stay that way for long. I am leaning twords being a caster/monk slayer more then anything eles I just love my ranger but I am sure there are other builds out there I havent tried or just dont know about...... Yet I truly belive I can be an asset to this guild if for nothing more then bringing comic relief and great reciepes for tonights meals. Thank you so much for even reading through all this I didnt mean to type this much but got rather carried away. I do so hope I meet everyone in the march beta as well as correspond via these boards. Take care Patricia Aka Samilia the Fair

Welcome aboard, Samilia! I'm relatively new here myself. And don't sweat the age thing. Odds are you may not be the oldest one here.

Greets Samilia I look forward to questing with you in the next BWE. I too on occasion have a three-year-old (my niece) accompany me on many of my adventures. She likes to curl up in the corner of my chair and marvel at the colourful monsters that her uncle's "little dolly" slays with ease. ;D Have fun and we'll see ya here and there.

Hi Sami, welcome to the BGN forum. There is a pub here called Bootlicker Pub, small and cozy and nice I leave some gold coins to pay for few rounds so stop in for a few. I need to warn ya bout Firin... he has a pub here and once he finds out you know your way around the cooker he will 'ask you for help' be forewarned. Since you have a 3 year old you know the story of 'If you give a mouse a cookie' ... Just remember, you were warned

Thank you all for the oh so warm welcome and I do appologize for placing my post in the wrong area, that is a bit confusing with all the hello posts in the main forum.
I do have a few questions about this guild but nothing drastic I should hope.
GvG battles, Do we?
Who is our Guild Builder? (oops slip of the tongue) should be WHO is the guild builder for testing out toon builds.
I am in EST time -5 GMT (Ohio) I noticed there are a few people that can play at my time, are there times when the entire guild is present ?
If this guild does GvG will we (damn) will there be scrounging raids (wrong term) farming to pick up elite spells and better armor and weapons?
I dont have a clue about where to find stuff and will need help in getting to be the best I can be and do hope the patience of the guild rivals my own.
"if patience was a virtue, I would be a saint"
" She likes to curl up in the corner of my chair and marvel at the colourful monsters that her uncle's "little dolly" slays with ease."
my Grandson jumps up and points out the critters yelling "get em, get em!" I have to clean my monitor atleast 2x a days.
Is there someway to see who is on the forums or in chat? I would love to chat with everyone, or is there an IRC channle we meet in?
What about Team speak or VOIP for team battles and quests?, I dont have a mic yet but I could listen and click <LOL>
Jeeze I just popped in here to say thanks for the warm welcome and *Boom* another 8 pages, so ok thats it for now hope to chat with everyone soon

I might as well... Harro! I'm Andy from Vancouver, Canada. Nice to meet you all. I'm a 15-year old aspiring blacksmith (not many job openings in that field, i know ;D) but hormones seem to be getting in the way and as you'll soon come to know, I'm rather immature My hobbies include metalworking and food. Sitting on my behind all day is pretty cool too ;D although recently the weather here's been nice lately, surprisingly. I've played through two BWE so far and I can safely say that I'm addicted. I play the absent healer most of the time Look for me on Llama Lied! If you ever need anything in game i'd be glad to help. Have a good one.

well then, Morbid, I guess I won't need to cook you up anything more over at the pub? of course, if you wanted any of them cooked, let me know and I'll cook 'em anyway you want: slow cooked, roasted, basted, char broiled (or charr broiled)... any way you want 'em.

WHO is the guild builder for testing out toon builds. TheUncleanOne Is there someway to see who is on the forums or in chat? I would love to chat with everyone, or is there an IRC channle we meet in? At the bottom of the front page you can see a list of the members who are currently signed on to the forum. To see who's in chat, just jump right in and take a peek. No BGN IRC that I'm aware of.

Well ... here goes ... I am usually fairly quiet till I get to know a person more. So if I don't post much at first here ... don't worry I will once I feel comfy enough. I tend to reply to in game chatting females as hun or hon (short for Honey). Not flirting, just used to doing it i guess. I have played in two beta weekends back in october and the other I am not sure of. Loved the game so far! I don't know what I want to be yet when I grow up (even though i am 34 yrs old), unlike most of you here already have characters made ... I don't yet. I just got my preorder copy or whatever ya wanna call it. I played heck finding it since I live in a small town with no real bigger places near. Stores around here don't carry much and preorders are pretty much unknown. But I found someone who knew of it and got it for me. Amaretta told me of the game months ago and I have been dying to get back into gaming with her for she is most likely the best fighting partner I have ever played with. Extremely helpful and friendly too I might add! I really don't know a whole lot about the game so far, and I certainly don't know my way around in any of the maps, but I am sure with a little patients I will. I have never belonged to a guild before and I am not sure what is expected of me really, but if I fall out of line someone push me back in! I better stop where i am cause this isn't an intro any more its a life story. By the way one of ya said you was from Ohio, (maybe more than one of you), Me too! So far everyone seems to be extremely nice and willing to put up with a newbie. Hope to be a giving memeber to the Beguine Guild.
Sincerely, Tremor ;D

Hello Everyone *waves meekly* I made a post on guild-hall.net about wanting to join a guild when I got a reply from Dreamsmith (give him credit) that lead me to this guild. I'm interested in joining. I've been messing around with ranger and monk but I haven't totally decided on a character build (or a screen name for that matter). On the BWE I'm under the screen name Karin Marcell for my ranger/monk (not sure...) And um... I don't really know what else to say about myself. But I've been chatting on your guild chat and I think I would like it here.
