I welcome you both. One error in Amaretta's post. The tavern is Bootlicker, sans 's'. I think Firin should change the name to the plural, as we all are Bootlickers.

Hello Everyone *waves meekly* I made a post on guild-hall.net about wanting to join a guild when I got a reply from Dreamsmith (give him credit) that lead me to this guild. I'm interested in joining. I've been messing around with ranger and monk but I haven't totally decided on a character build (or a screen name for that matter). On the BWE I'm under the screen name Karin Marcell for my ranger/monk (not sure...) And um... I don't really know what else to say about myself. But I've been chatting on your guild chat and I think I would like it here. Welcome! Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi Tremor from Ohio and Lady Karin from guild-hall.net ... Welcome to the majestic halls of the mighty BGN! Fear not the Morbid and make yurself at home. I'm Firin, a ranger and a dishwasher all rolled into one. See you two around here and in the next BWE ;D I welcome you both. One error in Amaretta's post. The tavern is Bootlicker, sans 's'. I think Firin should change the name to the plural, as we all are Bootlickers. I shall put this to a vote then

I made a post on guild-hall.net about wanting to join a guild when I got a reply from Dreamsmith (give him credit) that lead me to this guild. Ah, you must be the Radical Dreamer. I think you'll find this guild satisfies most if not all of the requirements you said you were looking for. Welcome to our fora, take your coat off and stay awhile... ;D

Wow, I feel loved ;D. And yes, this is "Radical Dreamer." Bootlicker Pub? Hm... I'll have to check that out later. For now, I'm going to go play a game. A certain teacher *cough, evil, cough* decided to really load on the homework so my brain needs some mindless gaming. Thank you guys for all the welcoming and I'm looking forward to the next BWE.
P.S. Morbid doesn't scare me... yet. Oh, and I come from Wisconsin... chilly over here.

Welcome to both. And don't feel you are the only noobies here. I just joined after the last BWE and have found a second home. And don't take up any invitations for dinner from Morbid. When she says she is having you for dinner, she is having you for dinner.

Greetings from Darkbane!
I'm basically a 30 something stuffed with 20 something filling. I've been a gamer geek for as long as I can remember. I've always found those with the "gaming" mentality to be accepting, cool people for the most part. The BGN's founding philosphy rings true to my ears.
I play for the fun of both playing and competing. I'm a natural helping person and tend to strictly play, Clerics or healers. I get my enjoyment when the whole team wins, and I believe that any great team must have those willing to play different roles and play them well.
Being a veteran 6-8th grade teacher and current high school counselor, I have pretty thick skin and have been told that I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm accepting of all people, even those I may disagree with. As a guild-mate you will be able to rely on me sticking around and helping you out in whatever way I can.
Can't wait to game with any of you,
Darkbane (a.ka. Meric, Dray, Stridarion) Darkbane

Welcome Darkbane. I would be happy to hang with you a while next weekend as long as you don't make me write 100 times on the chalkboard "I will not aggro the char while Darkbane's back is turned."

Greetings from Darkbane! I'm basically a 30 something stuffed with 20 something filling. I like to think of myself the same way and I can get my head to accept the 20 something filling but my body just flat out rejects it Anyhoo ... Welcome! Make yurself at home, there's drinks at the pub and many fine people to rub elbows with. Have fun! ;D

Being a veteran 6-8th grade teacher and current high school counselor We'll that gives us something in common. I made it through the 6-8 grade, and visited the high school counselor (along with the principal). Welcome to the boards.

I played shadowbane few years ago. And I would have to say, the best part of it, was all the friends you made. I couldent stand the guilds all based around being badass, where no one talks to one another. From everything I read about this guild, it reminds of that 'group of friends' feeling I had in my guild in shadowbane and that is the largest part of why I post here today. I heard about guildwars this Tuesday. When I heard about it, it was about 1pm. It took me 15min to decide to buy the preorder. so I ordered it. And then, untill 10pm that day I sat and read everything i could get a hold of. Then I saw your video and I thought "now that is a guild that has fun" so I decided I would like to join. Anyway, about myself. I am 19 and studying general sci at Bergen college in NJ. I aspire to be a torcherer. Uhhhh, I mean Dentist. also my name is Adrian(Age-ree-an) but people call me Age for short. Anyway, I am staying up next thursday night untill friday morning so I can get right to playing. So if any people who are doing the same, Id like to join you Thanks~ -Age

Welcome Age! ;D I'm glad our fine BGN directors videos were able to entice you our way. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me and be sure to add any of the names listed in the pic, on this thread, to your friends list. We'll be happy to meet up with you.

Welcome Age! Could you take a look at Doc Fate's teeth for us. He said the last "dentist" used a 79 cent K-Mart screwdriver to take off his old crown.

Yes I love dentists. I love them so much I give them all my money!
On another note, I'm a little confused on the pronunciation of Beguine and its origination. Is it pronounced like be-gwine`. Probably should have asked this before. Pardon if I missed it in other threads.

Welcome Darkbane and Age to BGN. Why don't you lads come to the Bootlicker Pub and I shall have Firin give you a round on the house. He just luvs to see new faces. Ooo and Fate although I do fancy the name Best Wine for Beguine, I think we prolly should stick with the name Beguine. The shiraz bottles are under the counter in the pub, if you need to know

Well, gee, unofficial nuns, that doesn't sound half as fun as where I thought the name came from. Beguine is also a genre of latin music, along with Beguine Vide and Beguine Moderne. BTW: Pronounciation can be found here.

Welcome Age! Could you take a look at Doc Fate's teeth for us. He said the last "dentist" used a 79 cent K-Mart screwdriver to take off his old crown. Right now I am a dental technician. And I would have to say, if the crown was crappy enough, and if I wanted to save 150$ I would pull it out with a screw driver! (ohh and by the way, you have to be a moron to make a mistake as a dentist. So, don't feel bad if you sew. ALOT of moron dentists out there and I don't want competition )

Actually this time I was really not trying to be funny. I was just wondering how to pronounce it. I know this is a first for me not trying to be funny.

Heh. Yeah, unfortunately that one doesn't rhyme unless you're mispronouncing it. Let's see...
Are they keen, in Beguine? Or are they mean? Or in between?
(If you're familiar with the French pronounciation of "Guy", it should be no surprise that the "guine" in "Beguine" is pronounced pretty much the same, just ending with an "n". The first part is "bay" if you're refering to the pseudo-nuns, or "bih" if you're talking about the dance or music genre.)
