Time: 7:30pm PST Place: Guild Hall Comments: I know it was him... only a fleeting glimse. I was just zoning from DoA to refresh the Preist in DoA after accepting rewards for Mallyx. So I spawned into GH and immediatly clicked to return to DoA and just as I was transporting I caught sight of a person or "septer" near the X chest. As soon as I hit DoA I popped up guild roster to see who was logged on and there, after more than 4 years, I saw the name of one of our Forefathers... I said "Is that you Yoko?" in guild chat. No answer... then I spammed... "Is that you Yoko?" No answer... I returned to GH and he was gone... be on the lookout!

Crazy but true, Yoko signed in after 4 years - and it was recorded in the guild list!

Actually, grasshopper, he was before your time. He was one of the first founders of BGN. From the earliest beta days when I found them and joined.

Well we just passed the 5th year anniversary, so at least 5. However, I know for sure that I spent my first few BWE's floating among various temp guilds (Go Healing Hands Wa/Mo!) before running in to the first few BGN. Not sure when BWE's started however.

AD didn't you horse around with some of us playing Knights Online in between the open weekends for GW for a while too?

I tried to get the Knights Online stuff going but I either didnt have time or couldnt get the download to work - not sure.
Xaja, thinking back, I know BGN was together in August 2004, which was still during the BWE's. So, this August I can guarantee a 6th year anniversary for BGN!

I remember KO. First time I meet Red. Little did I know the good times ahead! (Like the time we did ROF and Red kept dying. Finally Xaja asked what Runes he had on. Turns out he ad a superior on ever piece. Good times. Good Times. ) I missed the first couple of beta's but was there before the official start.

I finally got around to linking my GW account with my NCSoft one. Slowly but surely I plan on getting back into the game (although with Starcraft 2 coming out on Tuesday it will indeed be slow). If anyone sees me online, sorry if I don't respond, I'm just casually playing and relearning everything. It has been quite a while, last time I played was when Factions first came out. Hopefully someone can help me here. I'm on the NCSoft store to buy Nightfall and Gwen, but I'm a little confused. What are all these skill unlocks, do I need those as well? Also, is the bonus mission pack worth it/do I even need it? Thanks! Edit - AD is correct, BGN will be 6 this August, we've been around longer than the game (launch atleast). I believe I joined during the 2nd BWE after a successful running of some really hard mission which was quite a feat at the time (it was a very early incarnation of the Nolani Academy I think).

Great to see you back Yoko! The skill unlock packs will add every skill in the game to your PvP characters. This is very helpful if you wanted to play a lot of PvP. However, your PvE characters will still have to buy the skills from trainers. On the other hand, your characters can still buy the skills from trainers, making them available for PvP use without costing real, American $. The bonus mission pack covers a couple of events in GW lore that you dont get to play in the current story arc. There are no titles, armor sets, skills etc associated with the bonus mission pack. If you have any other questions, a ton of information is posted on either the official guild wars wiki, or the unofficial one (same stuff in both places, just different presentation). wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Main_Pageguildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Main_PageAs always, your guild/alliance mates will prove a great resource as well.

WB Yoko!
You do not need to buy the skill unlocks. They are PvP only unlocks for the in game skills. It was a quick way for anet to get pvp'rs without making them PvE.
No. Played it once to get some weapon for a hero. As I recall, it is just 4 single player missions.

I start class again this week, going to cut into my play time even more. My schedule is kinda rough, so we'll see how it goes.

Speaking of Yoko Sightings, there are a few other founders of BGN who have snuck on recently!
