It has begun!Anet is FINALLY being nice and adding a 'Imperal Supplymaster' after the event (for a few days) to allow you to get your mask if you can't see the Emperor directly (and a visit every 2 instead of 3 hours to boot).

You probably already know but, there are new quests in the Monastary that give you Orbs for reward... I picked up about 150 in about 25 minutes.

the first three quests I did were not very hard, took Shu Ting Starr (Rt/R 14) and some henchies and had no troubles...I am sure they get harder as you progress though. Anyone Know how many Orb Quests there are total?

My level 20 war was the hardest of the three I've completed the quests with. Total you get just shy of 250 orbs for all quests (with Tyrian characters... I've not tried it with a Canthan). My monk I didn't even bother to respec from the bonding build I used in Fissure the night before, I just bonded up the henchies and wanded all the bad guys to death. My necro was easy peasy lemon squeezy once she turned the level 4 monsters into level 17 minions LOL. My war however was constantly blind and very ineffective in the cave at the very end. Ended up finishing with like 40% dp :/

Okay after playing the 9 ring game and thinking I was the unluckiest person I finally decided to figure out what the returns on a bet played on each spot. I found out that I was not unlucky, the odds are just worse than roulette.
So for those who want to know:
Bet: 10 tickets
The middle ring: 15 net if you hit exactly, 5 net if the ring next to (not diagonally) hits. So you have a 5 out of 9 chance of winning something. Sounds pretty good until: 1 of the five you get 15 and 4 of 5 you get 5. So ((1*15) + (4*5))/5=7 average you get if you win. so if the game is truely random you will win 35 (5*7) and lose 40 (4*10) for each 9 times.
Side ring: 30 net if you hit. 5 if adjacent. So you will win 4 out of 9 times. ((1*30) + (3*5))/4=11.25 if you win. So in 9 times you will win 45 and lose 50.
Corner rings: 45 net if youhit, 5 adjacent. So its ((1*45) + (2*5))/3=18.333. so in nine times you will win 55 and lose 60.
So as Xaja pointed out its better not to play.
Ty anet for a nice money/time sink.
Also I'm not really sure it is a random game. I have noticed people who were playing who seemed to move around alot only to go to the right ring almost every time.

In 9 rings you get a -5 loss rate over 9 games.
In 16 rings you get a -2 loss rate over 16 games.
Corner rings in 9 rings are better for getting the unlucky title, but exactly the same for getting the lucky title.
Without taking into account the fact that every batch of games the woman pauses to explain, it would take roughly 10 hours to get lucky, so an estimate of about 12-13 hours factoring in speeches.

This isn't thread necromancy, just to update the 9 ring game stats that Fate put together. Given an equal non-weighted distribution all rings have the same payback.
9 tries cost 90 tickets. Center ring = 25+15+15+15+15 = 85 ticket return. Side ring = 40+15+15+15 = 85 ticket return. Corner ring = 55+15+15 = 85 ticket return.
But as Spirit said, for titles, go for the corner ring. Here's why. There are two titles. Lucky and Unlucky. Lucky is based on the number of tickets won (which from above is the same number regardless of where you stand). But, Unlucky is based on the number of games lost. The center ring has a loss ratio of 4:9, side 5:9, and corner 6:9. Thus, the corner spot will achieve more losses, and the same number of tickets won.
I'll take Charles Nelson Reily in the corner ring FTW!

I got on the 12 ring to build up my unlucky title since it is times lost instead of tickets lost adn 12 is cheaper.
