I voted for Paris, though my favorite performance was Mandisa's.

I liked Mandisa. I think she has the best voice. Probably won't be the Idol cause she is overweight. I like Kelly Pickler for the same reason you liked Ace.

Some how I wound up watching Idol for the first time a couple weeks ago, to lazy to change channel or too engrossed in GW to troll channels for something else, that was the night Paris auditioned... wow! She blew me away! She was allowed (requested) to perform a second song... Billie Holliday, covered by a seventeen year old? Did anyone else see that? what an awsome treat. She doesn't even need this program to become a star.

Paris comes from a singing family. Her mother was the lead singer for some famous (not too cause I don't know them) blues band. She is very good. Shae talks very sweet and girlie like but then hits you with a very sophisticated and great voice.
p.s. Mandisa is still my favorite

Finally got around to watching last week's episode, and the only performance I really, really liked was Mandisa's. Not that Paris and the other young girl (can't remember her name right now) weren't very good, but I agree with Simon's criticism that they should sing songs to highlight their energy and youth rather than singing songs to try and come off like they're older and more sophisticated.
That Brenna chick has to go! (I still haven't checked on the results.)

Same request as in the Idol-Men thread. Will someone please close this poll so that I can start another without ending up with multiple threads on the same topic.
Thanks for your help. ;D

Agreed. I felt badly about Kinnik though since I thought she was great last week.

She looks like a man to me in the face. She had a good voice and seemed nice. She just did not appeal to America as much as other.
I really, really don think Kellie is as good as Kerry was.

OMG Fate - you sound just like Joby! I tried to explain about jailbait, but he just didn't wanna hear it. I don't think she was the worst of the night. Bucky was terrible as usual. So was Ace. Taylor outshined them all IMHO, but I still want to see him really, really cut loose. Walkin' in Memphis, baby. Sing it for me Taylor. ;D

OMG Fate - you sound just like Joby! I tried to explain about jailbait, but he just didn't wanna hear it. I mean cute in a platonic way until she turns 18 of course.

Uh oh - haven't seen it for myself yet, but heard last night was not so good and that some of the better singers could be in danger this week.....Seems that people think Elliott or Taylor could go. That would be "simply awful."

I think a this point anyone but Chris, Mandesa, or Kelly could go. Personally, not based on performance, my guess would be Bucky, Ace, or McPhee.

Decided not to watch the performances since none were supposed to have been any good, and then read about Mandisa. Am super-bummed out. Even if she wasn't going to win it all I would have much rather heard her next week than Bucky or Ace! Mandiiiiiiissaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Nooooooooooooooo!

Man Kelly was hot! I can't remember if she was singing or not though. Black leather jacket and high heel boots. sigh.

LOL. You are too much! I haven't watched yet, so I can't comment on the relative hotness of anyone or any performance. I really hope, though, after the total lameness of last week's performances that at least two or three of these folks manage to move me.

Ok for you Idol folks out there -- not sure if you knew this - but Carrie Underwood is the poster girl of Oklahoma's literacy campaign "Read Y'all" ( www.etonline.com/music/news/37337/ ) And please don't make fun of the slogan. Y'all is a word - it's a regional word. It makes sense for this area...but Read Yous Guys would not make sense.
