Guild Wars World Championship Unveiled 26 September 2005
e are pleased to announce that the qualifying season for the first Guild Wars World Championship will begin this week. In preparation, the Guild Wars Ladder will be reset at 12:00 am PDT (7:00 am GMT) on October 1 to start the first ladder season. This inaugural season will last three months and will culminate in regional playoffs among top-ranked guilds in each of America, Europe, and Korea, followed by the global Guild Wars World Championship, a live event to be held early next year. We'll be making a formal announcement on Thursday with further details. Prior to the October 1 ladder reset, we will be updating Guild Wars with a comprehensive set of skill balance changes to refresh the competitive landscape.

...a comprehensive set of skill balance changes to refresh the competitive landscape. Another skill balance tweak? Good grief, there's never enough time to master a skill set or a character build or a team build, what with all these changes. I'd like things to stay still long enough for me to get fully comfortable with all the tools they given us so far.

Well there are a few skills that might still need some tweaking... but I don't see a reason for a 'comprehensive' re-balance... Really , if they fixed the -10 pip energy thing (should NOT be able to run more than 14 or 15 maintained enchants) even Ether Renewal wouldn't necessarily need a tweak...

Ya, the tweaks have been pretty frequent lately, but I think they just want to get everything as balanced as possible before the ladder reset. After that, the skill updates should slow down

I think Anet stated in a FSF that there will be NO skill balances durring a competition... so this should be the last re-balance for awhile...
