I am sure that I will be joined by everyone else here when I say that our hearts go out to any who have lost friends or family or have been injured by the bombings in London this morning. I hope that none of our members were among the victims.
And just a Public Service Announcement: The US has bumped the Terror Alert Warning Level up to Code Orange for the US Transit systems. Something to keep in mind if you have to use transit to get home, etc.
Hope everyone stays safe.

Thanks for starting this thread. I kept wanting to, but didn't know what to say.
I hope our friends overseas are as safe as possible. Heck, I hope we can all stay safe. I ride the train every day to work and watching the news this morning was pretty frightening.

Well since I woke up at 11am GMT, the BBC, SKY and ITV channels have never stopped with constant live feeds and reports. Even now the news is still coming in over how many dead. Alot of people are been blamed for this and I myself am surprized this din't happen sooner. Im deeply sorry for the losses that some people have suffered but Im bloody thankful it was not yesterday this happened. My 13 year old sister Melissia was in London at Liverpool St Station. Otherwise it would be going down there to identify the body, but thank fu** Im not. She got back to my town at 2am this morning. As BD put I hope everyone, espically the Cockneys, can pull together and move on, rebuild and live their lifes.
There is a Unofficial 2 minutes silence in the UK at 9pm GMT which is:
ATL EST CST MST PST ALA HAW 5P 4P 3P 2P 1P 12P 11A
Please pay your respects just by be silent. Thanks.

This attack is heartless and senseless. My thoughts are with everyone affected by it. I hope the responsible parties are found and tried quickly.

Thanks BD...my thoughts are with everyone over there. This is bullshit. I'm sick of all this terrorist crap. And to interrupt the f**king G8 summit that is supposed to be bringing people/countries together is f**king disrespectful. It makes me sick.

As an Amerircan I have great love and respect for the British people. And trust they will do the right things. God Bless.

This is a terrible event, my heart goes out to all those effected. The English are strong, they'll show the terrorists that nothing they can do will dampen their spirits forever.
It's a shame that the people do these things. They aren't even following their religion properly either. The Muslim religion teaches peace, not 'jihads' and terrorist attacks.

Organized religion has been twisted for violence since it was created. Basically some people just want to kill and will make any excuse.

I dont mean to wonder slightly off topic but... Religon in general is to blame for mose wars and deaths. I believe anyone know's this anyway somewhere in their heads, yet we still go on beliving in them. It takes a brave person to stand up and fight for something they believe in, but giving yuor own life or taking others lifes in the name of that belief is going to far. The Romans, Hitler, and even our own countrys in some form or another have all been guility of such crimes. Christinaty, Jewish, Isalm, Muslim and all, they all relate to a siple princple of belief. Without the belief they cease to exist. In the end I don't blame the person in their whole, but I blame the religon and them. After all, in the end its down to the person to decide if they believe or not.
Sorry about the ramblings. Im semi-drunk and I rambling alot in this state.

Well thats a load of crap. It's the PEOPLE who decide what to do, tehy use religion as an excuse. Religion in itself is not the cause, its fanatics. Nowhere in Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Muslim or the rest of them does it say "go out and kill people" or "it is good to kill for God" or "killing innocent people is good". What does it do? It says the opposite. It says killing is bad, you should never kill.
So, by simple logic these people are not truly following their religion if they blow people up using bombs. They are wrong in the head, simple as, or have been indoctrinated from a young age to believe that killing themselves for god is right. Is this religions fault? No. Its the fault of fanatics. Don't blame the thing they use as an excuse.
Religion isnt the main cause of war. Not by far. Most wars are caused by greed. Greed for money, greed for power. These people then need an excuse for their actions, and so they use a religion, as hell, whos gonna argue if you say "God told me to"?

So the reason hitler went to war against the Jewish, and all of europe and russia was for greed and power? I think he would argue otherwise. The romans was also strong believers in religon and in the fact that more victorys in war appleased the gods as well as very other actions they did. All throughout history religon has played its part in war. Hell the first world war was related to religon. I agree in the end it is down to the person themselfs if they kill someone, but do you ever wonder what made them think that way. In religon they make it so... addictive for want of a better word. They absorb the persons belifs. If you believe in christanity then you dont believe in Islam etc. You cant follow both (You can I know but im talking in a full time belief context).
So if you belief in Islam what does that make the chrstians, the jews and the muslims? What does that make you to them? Some religons believe all non-believers will meet their maker as such in hell/heaven and otehrs believe these people do not deserve to walk the earth. Fine let them believe what they wish, but when it comes to murder of innocents in any country, not just our own, that is when religon is gone to far. That is when our own armys get involved and cause more blood to be spilled and make the situation worse by making more terrorists. There was a man once from Israel who lost his family to american bombings, that man swore vengenance on the US and cause a explosioning killing 23 americans in the american embassy in isreal. This was because the americans killed innocent people themselfs. The UK has done it thousands of times, the US, every single country in the world has commited murders. We are all terrorists in one form or another. Why are we terrorists? Well we let people like Tony Blair and Bush and various other leaders such as Hussain himself rule countrys and commit these crimes.
I know iv trailed of the whole point but Im trying to put across the point its not just the actions of People for power and greed, but for religon, beliefs, vengenace and retailiation.
In the end it simply comes down to no matter what happens in this world their will always be innocent people dying for others causes. All we can do is live on with our lifes and pay our respects to the dead and pray that oen day, just one day, there will be no man, woman or child with the thoughts of murder on their minds.
I know this will never happen unless the human race was wiped out as its our nature to want.
Anyway another endless ramble.
