Am I a dying breed?

Maybe so. I figure that the cost of purchasing all the supplies and the cost of disposing of the used oil makes a quick stop at Jiffy Lube more economical.

In the past I would do it all myself right down to even a complete engine tear down and rebuild now days I hate grease under my nails, grit in my eyes and bloody knuckles so Quicky Lube gets my vote.

Except for my riding lawn mower, I pay someone to change my oil

I'm all about paying someone.
Thank goodness my manual push mower requires no fuel or maintainance. ;-)

Not only do I pay someone to service my cars, I pay an association to take care of the yard and shoveling.

I change my own oil. The local mechanic in this town will take the oil for nothing if you know him. But as far as anything else that needs done on cars.....not me. I do my own lawn care and landscaping too. Hence why it looks dead. Actually it is cause of the heat wave, but heck, mine looks no worse than the guy down the street!
