Today I morn the loss of an old friend that I have had since my first PC at my Job. Today the space bar broke on the IBM PS2 keyboard. The manufacture date on the back was 1984.
Goodbye old friend. Rest in peace.

Not that you can replace your old friend -- but there is one for sell on ebayyou know ... those things are built tough enough you could use them to knock a person out...

My wife still uses the keyboard from our old, retired Epson Equity II+, a PC clone from circa 1987. That keyboard is a tank, and the day it dies is a day I do not want to be in the house. Lo, there will be much lamentation.

You can always rig up a space bar key, or buy a new one that fits.

It's quite scary to see keyboards that are older than I am.

Alas it would just remind me of my old keyboard. Xaja the electronic part of it is worn out. So guess I will just have ot modernize. Maybe one made in the mid 90s. ;D

Fate, I feel your loss, my friend. I will be sharing a moment of silence with you here. P.S. on the topic of keyboards...has anyone tried one of those Z-Boards with a GW key set? Wondering if they are any good.. I could use any help I can get to improve my in-game key stroking

Maybe one made in the mid 90s. ;D Way back in the day, the joysticks on my Atari 2600 used to wear out all the time. I would put a drop of epoxy on the contacts where the pins of the stick pressed the circuit board and the thing would go another 1000 hours.
