;D Very nice job indeed. I noticed many of the 'guilds' in guild wars use the basic colours on the colour wheel. Which is nice but not terribly distinctive. Sometimes the monochromatic capes, though pleasing to the eye can often be mistaken for that 'other guilds cape.' Inda your an original, kudos to you

I'm sorry, but I didn't read the whole thread. I am SO lazy. I was wondering if the issue of design and color are still on topic. If yes, can anyone submit an design for the cape? I know I'm not in the guild yet, but I'd love to try my hand at designing a cape for the guild. Even if it isn't chosen, it would be alot of fun. It's alright if it's not okay.

well I may be speaking out of line, but it's been hacked to death. We have a kick-ass logo, and have all seemed to agree on the new color scheme...yellow/purple/black How 'bout you take a little time to actually read the thread...it's not a friggin 700 page novel.

Thanks for such the nice responce. Inda says in the first thread that the logo/color might be rethought when the game comes out. So theres nothing wrong with me asking about the design. I have now read the whole thread, and nothing was solved other than what the colors were going to be. A few posts involved people just wanting the same old symbols instead of the new colors and squares. Nothing more. I know I could design a sweet cape, and would love to try my hand at it. But I don't think I should be shot down by one person. There are/will be new members in the future, so with new members come new ideas that can make the guild better than ever.

But I don't think I should be shot down by one person. There are/will be new members in the future, so with new members come new ideas that can make the guild better than ever. <One phrase "Top of the station wagon!"> Thanks for the idea Broken, I do appreciate the offer. The way GW sets up the cape designs doesn't allow for too much originality. Let me explain. GW has set up their cape design up in 3 layers. They have a catalog of items for each layer. You can see some of the examples here. That's why you'll see a lot of guild capes which are similar in design. But I will give a little back ground as to why I picked the catalog items I did....I picked the logo in the middle because it reminded me of two things 1 a warrior's helmet (for guild wars) and 2 an abstract angel (which goes with the beguine theme {but don't tell Morbid} ). { click here and scroll down for what beguine was}Also, the helmet design isn't used too much in the game--so it makes it stand out a little more. The swirlly underneath I chose because, well I just didn't like the other options, flames were too cliche as well as the checkered back ground was blechhh , IMHO. So that's why the design is staying the same. We did have a lot of discussion on the board and in the chat room regarding the color. It got pretty drawn out which is why folks reacted the way they did. We decided to incorporate the purple and black with the yellow because it would be unique thus making us more original among all the cliched guilds. So that's the long and short of it. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me. --------------- Oh! and on that note if there are no objections I will close out this thread!

awesome explanation Inda, except I can still post in locked stuff, weird... because you're an Admin Yoko... and since I'm a mod, I can also post in Locked threads... but this is acutally off topic, so expect it to be deleted in a day or so....
