I speak English, or americanese as I like to call it, and some Spanish. I try not to speak Spanish to often because when ever I do I end up being called a gringo. I took a trip to Costa Rica and WOW! they did not like me. So that ship has sailed and I'm not speaking Spanish or even typing it for that matter, until I improve my Spanish speaking skills.

English. Very little French and Spanish. I took 3 yrs of French in High School; and of course that was soo long ago, I don't remember very much. Had friends that spoke Spanish, but only know a few words.

I speak English, I'm currently taking Spanish 2 (highschool), a little bit of Japanese and barely any Chinese (cantonese and mandarin).
^_^;; I'm part Chinese and spoke it fluently when I was little but then I went to English schooling and forgot it... And though my grandparents, father and mother spoke mandarin mostly... sometimes my grandparents and mother spoke their native cantonese... so I really don't know who would understand fully the few words I remember.

Lady that's kind of like me and my evil grandmother. She grew up speaking a mix of German and Russian... so even when I did take German I still couldn't understand what she said and she really couldn't understand me.

I do speak French of course. My English is not so bad, I do not have any problem reading it, writing is OK too, but I don't speak it very often so it is not flowing very well when I do.
I also speak and read a bit of Greek (thanks to the last summer Olympic as I worked there for 3 months), just enough to order in a restaurant and to not get lost in Athens.
A+

My native language is Flemish (Dutch), which I still speak with my folks but have no current intention of teaching to my children. It's rusty, but I consider myself fluent. A day or so back in Belgium and I'm back to "normal" hehe. French is another official language in Belgium. I speak enough French to get by, though I wouldn't consider myself fluent, or even conversational.
At the age of 5 we moved from Belgium (where I was born) to Spain, where we lived for almost 11 years. Spanish was my second language, and I speak it fluently to this day. I am teaching my oldest son to speak Spanish. While in Spain I studied Latin for 5 years.
At the age of 9 or so I started to learn English. When I was 16 or so we moved from Spain to the USA (Michigan).
I'm now 32, married (with children), and living in Southern California where I get to use my Spanish daily.
I suppose you could say that I am a cunning linguist...
