Here's the hint on the song. The video for this song began the music video era. It was also the 1,000,000 video played on MTV.

Well, with a hint like that I now know the name of the song, but for the life of me I can't remember the group's name.

Good Job Laurelin. Did yo usee them on American Idol? I am proud to say that I have never watched an episode of American Idol...so, no. Were they really on Idol? Really? Weird... My only excuse is that I live in Michigan. *shrug* Sorry I took so long....here goes! (this song has been stuck in my head for days...your turn!) Pay attention here's the thick of the plot I pulled up to the corner at the end of the block

I know it is Will Smith. Well, at the time the Fresh Prince of Belair. And, I can remember his mom chasing him around and trying to smack him. Can't remember the name of the song though? ?

It's Will Smith (of course, no one knew him by that name). Perhaps this will help figure out the song title....

Sounds like a song from Stephen Wolf or that era. The "Come inside, Come inside" is faintly familiar.

Its right. I googled it so I'm going to try and get this thread going again.
"Well, now Luke, my friend, what about young Anna Lee?"He said, "Do me a favor, son, won't you stay an' keep Anna Lee company?"
If you saw the grammies Zac Brown and Elton John and others did this song as a tribute to a musician who died in 2012. It was great.
