Probably the safest lyric of the song:
I was a high school loser, never made it with a lady till the boys told me somethin' I missed then my next door neighbor with a daughter had a favor so I gave her just a little kiss like this!

Well, I hear you went up to Saratoga And your horse naturally won Then you flew your Lear jet up to Nova Scotia To see the total eclipse of the sun Well, you're where you should be all the time And when you're not, you're with Some underworld spy or the wife of a close friend Wife of a close friend, and....

Surprised this one has been so hard. I guess I'll try a clue first and if that doesn't help a new lyric...
This bands name is 4 letters. Their lead singer has been considered by many to be the best bass player in rock and roll. Their drummer has his share of fans as well. I don't think they've put out an album since the mid 80's though.

Hrmmmm....from the clue it must be by Rush. The lyrics aren't clicking in my head though. Darnit.
I just googled it, and still don't recognize the song. I guess I never had this album

Oh, jeeze....
Okay then, another lyric from another song by the same band (which is Rush) from the same album...
The world weighs on my shoulders But what am I to do? You sometimes drive me crazy But I worry about you I know it makes no difference To what you're going through But I see the tip of the iceberg And I worry about you...

Manic Monday?
And wasn't the second Rush song Red Alert?
|
|
|
Post by Quintare on Jul 12, 2008 0:37:30 GMT -5
Manic Monday is the answer.
the first song was Red Sector A, from the Grace Under Pressure album (1984... I was a sophmore in high school). The second song, from the same album is Distant Early Warning. I guess they are hard because the titles have so little to do with the lyrics. Yay for 'concept albums'!
