I had fun GvGing with you guys today, hope it was fun for you as well. Hope to do this more often in the future ;D Here's what we were using: 4 henchies Smiting E/Mo, 15 energy storage 12 smiting Draw conditions, ether renewal, smite hex, balthazar's aura, restore life, res signet, zealot's fire, aura of restoration Mo/R 16 divine favor, 15 healing Aura of faith, orison, healing seed, vigorous spirit, smite hex, , , E/Me Inspired enchantment, inspired hex, backfire, E/me Phoenix, backfire, blackout, flare, ether renewal, As you can see we obviously werent running a coordinated build. Our E/Mes basically played shutdown while myself (the smiter) and the henchies handled the offense. I felt my offense wasnt as a good as it could've been as I had to channel my damage through the fighter henchie, whereas if we had a human warrior we would've been a lot more efficient. Good game and see you next time.

Thanks for the info, the more you practice the better you can adjust and change tactics if necessary. After all it's unrated and therefore these kind of battles are useful.

Good game and see you next time. Well I know what some of those are... and yes I did have a good time... And while you had to use the fighter henchie... I did finally (once I was able to live longer than 5 sec.) see the Bath Aura & Zealot Fire damage... IMHO, the best counter for your build would have been: 1) more efficient hex removal (although I really don't know of any efficient hex removal). 2) Some type of enchantment removal; stopping Bath Aura/Zealot Fire would have helped a lot. Although I did notice we had Ward against Elements on the 3rd match which I found to be a wonderful addition. What did I learn? I am humbled by the power of a Prot vs a Heal monk... PvE heal monk is great and usually sufficient... PvP the Prot monk stopping the focused damage is key to keeping someone up long enough for the Heal monk to respond. Also, while we did not win, I am pleased that we were able to go from < 10 min debacles to a more respectable 25 min match with just a few minutes of chatting in between matches. Thanks again for the experience and I look forward to our next unrated challenge.

Of note to this topic, when did we do a Rated GvG? I noticed our rating had gone down recently. Also X, of note is Meric and myself have been working on a Anti-Monk/Anti-Mesmar strat with his main character and my main PvP character. Seem we could have the monk down within 5-10 seconds if it all goes well without him having time to heal (with interupt and knockdown attacks plus DoT's and AoEs). Ill put more info on this in the BGN Only section once Meric and me finalize and test it Tal (Also I hope I get to take part in the next unrated. Sounded like fun.)

Hehe I would fill in the ???s but I don't know what they ran.
Enchantment removal would definitely have made it a lot easier to beat us, since ZF runs on a 30 second recharge. Good hex removal is always important, inspired hex is a very popular one since it both removes a hex and nets you energy.
I couldn't agree more on the protection monk thing, I play a prot/removal build myself and it can be quite stressful since it requires fast reactions and decision making. Fun to watch yourself or a teammate tank 5+ lightning orbs/chain lightnings.
