***Spoilers ahead***
I must say I am pretty sure that Sydney was probably thinking something along the lines of F*(k you Mom when Irina was telling her that she never meant to have a child at all.
And how the bloody hell are they going to explain Vaughn this time?

I decided to read this without having seen the episode on Wednesday because for some unknow reason my darned TiVo did not record it! Aaargh! Truth be told, I kind of stopped watching Alias after last season. Things seemed to get really stupid. I think I'm most interested in Jack and Irina and also in Sloane. He's the character who always managed to keep me coming back each week.

yep they are all back for now up to over their necks in deceit as usual and leaving all of us wondering what each of them are thinking and where their true allegiances lie at the current moment

Ok...so I don't really watch this show -- but did watch the 2 hour thingy on the other night. Things I've noticed: 1) People who are dead really aren't. 2) Massive ships only take a crew of 5 (10 tops) to operate. 3) Labor is so easy for first time mothers that it can be done on a designer leather sofa. 4) X and my's baby is much prettier than Sydney and dead-boys baby.

Things I've noticed: 1) People who are dead really aren't. Welcome to one of the main constants of the entire series: death isn't ever permanent, even if you were shot about 20 times point blank in the chest with a machine gun

I think the only person who's really stayed dead is Sydney's fiance, killed off in the first episode or two, if I remember correctly.
Several people have been dead more than once. LOL. ;D Now I remember why I stopped watching.....If only I didn't care about Jack and Irina and Sloane. Sigh. Maybe I should file this show under guilty pleasure.

Alias jumped the shark after they shut down SD-6 or when Sydney vanished for a year. (Whichever came first, I can't recall.) I miss Will, but I hear he'll be back before it's all over.

LOL, BD. So true about poor, wimpy Will.
And Eld, I think the show jumped the shark when Sydney vanished for a year (or was it 2)?

I couldn't follow the 2-hour ep, and I didn't remember much from where we left off. I'll have to see if I can download it now :/ I'm looking forward to Gina Torres coming back though (think next ep)

Well Morbid, her character (Anna Espinosa) is back for awhile it looks like, though the actress won't be Gina. Through the miracles of impossible genetic manipulation, they've made her a Sydney Clone ( I assume to bring about the Rimbaldi's EndGame sequence of events.
Also, did anyone else notice that from Sydney & Jack's conversation after they rescued Will that it seemed as if they know that Vaughn is alive? We were quite confused at that since we thought (and thought that they thought) that he was dead... Have the characters themsalves started to not believe when a character dies?

LOL, BD. I haven't been keeping up, but I did watch the ep last week, and it seemed to me that Sydney and Jack know that Vaughn is alive and that they are keeping his "aliveness" a secret from everyone in order to protect him.
Do you think Sloane is going to die next week? I doubt they'll finish him off before the very end, but the previews seemed to make us want to think he'll be killed. I really like his character, so chances are I'll stop watching if they off him.

If my TiVo caught it, I'll let you know about anything significant. I was playing GW until about 9 p.m., and then went straight to bed.

Dang it! I forgot it was on last night! You can watch it for free at abc.com. They're experimenting with web distribution. You have to watch a limited set of commercials, but the video quality is quite good.

Kelkhil - Morbid is right. It was an OMG episode. You should try what Eld suggests above and watch the ep if you can.

Sorry to double post, but it has been one month since my last post on this topic (why did that feel like going to confession? ) **********SERIES FINALE SPOILERS******* So apparently Sloane is immortal now and is trapped underground? That's kind of dumb if you ask me. Because now I'm wondering what happens when someone eventually digs him up. I mean - somebody eventually will sometime. The place he's buried is of archaeological interest, after all. Sydney et al. didn't really stop Sloane's plans, they only delayed things until someone excavates that area again. Oh well....Sloane was the best character - maybe he'll get a spin-off. Also, it was very much a disappointment to me that both Jack and Irina were killed off. And if they had to die, I would have preferred to see them go down fighting side by side. I always liked their love story.

I was very disappointed in the finale. It seemed very rushed, very slapdash and sloppy. I don't know how much prep time they had for the series finale, but this was not up to standards at all. Of course, IMHO, it hasn't been up to standards since the end of season one. Farewell, Alias. To quote Asya, stick it in the ground and move on.
