Yes Eld - you did dig pretty deep for that Beuller ism. Here's the next quote. Character 1: You pompous, stuck up, snot-nosed, English, giant twerp, scumbag, f**k-face, dickhead a**hole!Character 2: How very interesting. You're a true vulgarian, aren't you?Character 1: You're the vulgarian, you f**k! Now apologize!Knowing the people on this board as I do, I suspect someone will get this pretty quickly. Good luck. ;D

Yay! This is from one of my favorite movies, A Fish Called Wanda. Kevin Cline is a stuuuupid American while John Cleese is the uptight English barrister.
Huzzzah!

Okie dokie. This one is probably too easy:
"Give me the child. Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered, I have fought my way here to the castle beyond the Goblin City to take back the child that you have stolen, for my will is as strong as yours, and my kingdom as great... "

Hmmm, how to hint without giving this away. It's a relatively recent film. Goofy humor. 100% comedy set in a small town in Vt.

A-ha! Just watched this. ;D
It's from Finding Neverland. Character 1 is JM Barrie/Johnny Depp. Character 2 is George, and Character 3 is Michael. I don't know the younger actors' names. But this was a really, really good movie.

Edit:I'm adding a little more dialogue from this scene to help out.
Woman: I remember you from Christmas Eve. You have a thing for helping women, don't you, Officer? Man: Maybe I'm just f**king curious. Woman: You say f**k a lot.
Man: You f**k for money.
Short, but very sweet. This is from an excellent flick.

Easy that one Aerynrox. LA Confidential Officer Bud White (Russel Crowe) and Lynn Bracken (spelling?) (Kim Basinger)

Ok, I'll give you two qoutes, both are sort of easy. The first one is narrated;
"...then they built this small plane, the X1, and men came out to the high desert of California to ride it. They were called test pilots, and noone knew their names..."
The second one is also narrated. Big plus for anyone who knows the narrators name;
" Greetings, my friends. We are all interested in the future, for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives. And remember, my friends, future events such as these will affect you in the future..... "

Ronin, Thank gods you like this game. And you are, of course, correct about LA Confidential. Great job. Now, I'll put on my thinking cap and get to work on your quote.....
|
|
|
Post by ronin on Jan 4, 2006 9:46:12 GMT -5
Yeah, well it was quite easy because LA confidential is one of my favorite movies, Russell Crowe is one of my favorite actors and James Ellroy is my favorite author. =)
And by the way, my two quotes are from different movies, just so you know.
Of course I like this game; I have a bachelor's degree from uni in film studies. I'm a moviegeek extraordinaire ;D

Well, I'm guessing a little bit here, but I think the first quote sounds like it must be from The Right Stuff - which I really liked. I have no idea who the narrator was, but the cast included Sam Shepard, Ed Harris, Lance Henriksen, Dennis Quaid and Fred Ward.
