I sent a PM to smthng to find out whether he wants to post a quote and/or if he would mind us opening up this thread. I kinda like playing these games.

yeah - I saw that too, but figured I'd wait a decent amount of time for him to get back to me (a couple of days), and then ask the mods if it was okay to skip smthng's turn.

Yay! Thank you Asya and Morbid for checking on this thread.
Here's my quote:
"We will pass through the American patrols, past their sonar nets, and lay off their largest city, and listen to their rock and roll... while we conduct missile drills."
Good luck. ;D

Captain Marko Ramius, (Sean Connery) speaking to the crew of the Red October in the movie "The Hunt for the Red October" had to Google for the charactor name

LOL must have on the boards same time as you that day.
One of the best films ever in it's catagory and the line from one of my most fav scenes: Bonus... 1 Red Iris if you can tell us the original Title of the work.
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tanhauser Gate. All those ... moments will be lost ... in time ... like tears ... in rain. Time ... to die."

MOVIE: Blade Runner CHARACTER: Roy Batty ACTOR: Rutger Hauer DIRECTOR: Ridley Scott ORIGINAL TITLE: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, based on the novel, but it's not the novel, hence the changed title of "Blade Runner"
Damnit...should have read this before work...haven't seen Blade Runner in a while

Righty O you're good Morbs, that's 1 movie I don't mind seeing a few times a year, way ahead of it's time. Still stands up against even the newer stuff. Especially the artistic use of lighting was a show in it's self. Red owes you 1 Red Iris next time we are on too (sorry looked through inventory to see if I had a black 1 especially for you but no luck so will make it a Blood Red Iris)

Ok...I may be complete wrong but I really want to say it's The Craft Fairuza Balk (Nancy) talking to Robin Tunney (Sarah) But I could also be very very wrong...or maybe that's not your quote and you are just issuing a threat against Red? is it scary this is the answer that popped into my head so quickly?

well since I seem to do soooo well with quotes (just look how my book quote is being guessed so quickly)-- here's a movie quote from one of the best movies ever -- the suits also make some of the sexiest halloween costumes for guys. We got two honkies out there, dressed like Hasidic diamond merchants.

I only got it cuase you said it was one of the best movies made.
Lets seem. I don't usually get a chance at this. How about something a little harder from one of my favorite movies with one of my favorite actors doing multiple roles:
"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!"

You are correct sir. A very funny movie. At the time the movie came out it was probably a little scary with the threat of nuclear war. Did anyone ever seethe movie Failsafe with Henry Fonda? A serious movie about the same subject.
Your turn.

Yep, Strangelove and Fail Safe are two sides of the same coin. I remember one weekend a few years ago when I was feeling kinda low. I thought I'd cheer myself up with a movie. I picked Fail Safe. Oops.
Okay, here's the new quote:
Not that I condone fascism, or any -ism for that matter. -Ism's in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon, 'I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me.' Good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus and I'd still have to bum rides off of people.

This one had me stumped, but I happened to see a bit of Ferris Bueller's Day Off this week. Definitely a Ferris Bueller thing to say.

Whew! I was beginning to think I'd dug too deeply into the Bueller lexicon with that one. What a fun movie. I was originally gonna go with some of the school bus Gummi Bear dialogue, but I couldn't find the exact wording.
Okay, Aeryn, You're up.
