Well, hello everyone. I'm 35 and addicted to RPGs. I've been playing them from before I can remember. My GW chars are: Ogden Twohorn - warrior, used to be a blacksmith in another world, now he's using that strength in a different way. Gabriel Dark - elementalist, used to be known as a rather shady character, but seems to have cleaned up his act upon finding a new profession in Ascalon. Alexander of Yew - once a ranger, always a ranger is Alex's view...the necromancer is his new secret desire. Luther Gregorius - healing monk, this is the first time Luther has ventured forth. You sound like a great guild, and I hope to get to join in the fun. See you on Wednesday.

Welcome, Luther, and to all of our recent arrivals. We hope you have fun in the game and hope you enjoy your time here on the forums. Be sure to stop by Bootlicker Pub and get yourself something cool (or warm) to drink. Firin runs a fine establishment with easy credit terms. In fact, I haven't had to pay a single nickel so far...

Could this guild be the one? I myself have a newborn child and sometimes have to leave the game abruptly when "real life" calls. Sometimes I have been known to have random text come flying across the keyboard when my son decides it looks particularly tasty. Additionally, I have really been enjoying playing the game. I am looking for a group of folks to have fun with. I am not personally interested in being #1 or being in the #1 guild - I just want to have fun with some fun sorts of people. My main character is named Lady Verleen so just look me up sometime. -Verxion

We definately have one or two or more family folks in the guild who are in your gaming situation (or will be soon enough). Be sure to look some of us up and give us try (and an adventure) and we look forward to meeting you in game! p.s. be sure to add philia indagatrix to your friend's list!

Hi all,
Since I'm stuck at work and I can't get onto GW, I should introduce myself. I'm 29, and coming from a MMORPG called runescape (www.runescape.com). Nice game, but a bit of a pain in terms of both players and interface. They have clans, but not as structured as GW.
I must say, after seeing a few demos, I jumped at the chance to get my pre-order and I've played over the last two beta weekends, and now that the release is official, I can see much time being wasted... :-)
My characters online are:
Grandmaster Tao: Ranger/Elementalist GMTao: Monk/Ranger Morpheus of Dreaming: Necromancer/Ranger
As you can tell, I'm a fan of the rangers. ;-) Anyways, looks like you have a great friendly guild here, which is what I'm looking for. I'm definitely looking forward to when you guys start recruiting again!

Greetings GMTao! I too am stuck at work, watching the clock and waiting for the time till I get home to play! And wow its been at least a year or more from the last i played runescape. I played that game for a rather long time, before I decided to move to "Better" games. The funny part is, sure some RPG's have better graphics, but Runescape was much more fun than most other games out there. /end rant. Welcom, and have a look around.

Yes, Runescape is definitely a strangely addictive game, but after getting my character to lvl 81 combat with 79 range, it was quickly getting frustrating trying to level up and only getting moderatly better results. That and all the kids playing that damn game... But I digress. :-) Thanks all, and I hope to see you in the game sometime.

Hail luther, Verxion and GMTao Your presence among us is most welcome. May you find what you are looking for in these times of war. On a lighter note ... beverages are easily had at the Bootlicker, so swing on by and sit back, relax and "Prepare Yourself!" It's time to have some fun.

Hello,
I found your Guild on Guild Wars top 200 and was interested in your fun guild. My main interest is PvP and I primarly use a Monk/Necro. Please look me when I am online.
I live in the Seattle, WA area.
Name in PvE is Fish Hook PvP Fish Bowl
(Now with a name like this, how can I not be fun ;D)
Thanks!

Well Fish, I admit your name implys fun.. but I must warn you, BGNs main interest isn't necessarily PvP... so if you're too PvP hardcore, you might have less fun here...
But, in the mean time, stop by the Pub and we'll see you in game!

Hail and well met fellow adventurers!
I am Charis, traveler of many lands and leader of House Charis. My traveling companions and I are looking for a home in this new land and have heard many tales of your guild and your grand adventures. We would like to join you in your travels if you would have us.
I bring with me my beloved Merik who is always willing to charge into battle with no thought for himself, Airethen ( a little on the over pious side, but he grows on you ) who has tended my wounds many times on the battlefield and a few more noble souls who love the thrill of adventure and will defend a guildmate to the death.
We look forward to meeting you all and hope that we can have many adventures together.
Charis

So pleased to see so many new faces! Be sure to adventure with us in-game. With the release, it's been harder for us to check the site for new people, but we try. Check this thread BGN Member NamesTo see different guild members you can talk to. Someone should always be on! Try the officers first, we'll be glad to help.

Salutations!
My name is Druin Valence. I have wandered many far fields and plains, quested over many mountains, and, just possibly, occasionally seen a tree. In all of the worlds and kingdoms and countries and nations I have journeyed through, the rarity of a group of people more genuinely interested in experiencing a life based on the precepts of friendship, adventure, and the pursuit of shiny objects has amazed me -- and yet here, in this corner of the multiverse, I have found the very thing I sought!
So here you have two things, folks: my accolades for being an exceptional group of people, and my formal declaration of my intention to become one of you. Modesty prevents me from sitting here and listing the endless variety of ways in which I am unbearably awesome, and so you will have to discover them on your own (or ask really nice) ... but rest assured! I will make both an enthusiastic, and worthwhile addition to your guild!
Seek me in Ascalon, and we shall swing a sword (or hurl a spell) at one another's sides, the better to strengthen the bonds which will impel us to victory over our errant, misguided opponents! Whomever they may be!
Druin Valence

Well, I screwed up my "hello" post so I'll try again.
Not only is this guild the first on the top 200 list, it's the only one that specifically and exclusively mentioned that FUN was the goal. So I'm here! I hope you accept me and I hope I help the guild along.
My name in GW is Fergus McCool (similar to the Celtic hero Finn McCool, the Anglicized spelling of Fionn Mac Cumhail) and currently I'm about an 8th level ranger. I enjoy the RP aspect of the game, but if you need a good bow in the arena I'll give it a go.
Thanks,
Fergus
