So beautiful , he Dreamsmith if you got the time can you make one for me ? Sure thing, just send me some pics you think would look good. One good trick is to set the game to the max resolution your monitor will support, then take some snapshots. Also, consider redoing the Great Northern Wall mission. It only takes like ten minutes to run, and features a great close-up shot of your character at the end, but you have to hit print-screen quick because it's only up for a second. It comes while you're telling Captain Calahan that you were spotted.

Fiona Morrigan returns... And as a Necromancer ... what ever did she learn from those royals?

You are quite talented. Nice work. So how are Fiona and Quinn related? Quinn is Fiona's older brother. My permanent pre-sear char, Kendra Morrigan, is their mother (permanently pre-sear since, as the backstory goes, both of their parents are killed during the Searing).

So, no sooner do I finish my latest set of wallpaper than my old monitor starts failing. Actually, it's been slowly failing for some time, but it decided to accelerate the pace a couple of days ago. I had long since had to not only adjust the brightness to max, but then go into the video card controls and up the gamma a bit to get something approaching a good image on the old monitor. A couple of days ago, it got so dark I had to turn the gamma way up, to the point that everything else looked washed out before I could see the darker details on pics. Anyhow, to make a long story short, I purchased a new monitor. Which left me with a problem. All my previous wallpapers had been done at 1152x864, but my new monitor is an LCD with a 1600x1200 native resolution. So less than a week after creation, all my old wallpapers are too small to be used... Thankfully, I didn't clip the layers when putting together my last set of wallpaper (I frequently do, because it saves a lot of space), so it shouldn't be a major chore to do up some nice 1600x1200 versions. I'm playing with the format a bit, however. So, without further ado, here's Aiko no Miya redux: I'll get the others later, I just needed one quick so I'd have something to grace my desktop with...

I'm seriously blown away, Dream. Your wallpapers detailed and gorgeous. And your role-playing is out of sight. I feel inspired by this thread.

Good job. 1600x1200 wow! I noticed that in the background story, A girl fled into the mountains to hide from her fate. That's Fate for you. Kisses the girls and make them cry.

Four! Miranda Libertus (1600x1200)Trivia time! In three of my last four wallpapers, the character is in the middle of a spell-casting animation. Can you name the three spells being cast?

Using some detective work here. The last 4 characters classes are Mo/Ra, El/Wa, Ra/El, Wa/Mo. The only spell that any 3 of them have in common is the Rez signet. I could be way off; however, that would mean the character backgrounds posted on dreamsmith.org are not, shall we say, up to date.
VV My mistake. It is suppose to be 3 different spells.

I think they're all casting different spells, Asya.

And, alas, guildwars.dreamsmith.org is quite out of date. I also removed the secondary classes from my character list on the wiki, since I change secondaries more often than any reasonable human being should. But, for the record, at the time those screenshots were taken, Aiko was Mo/E, Randolph was E/Me, and Miranda was W/Mo. (Hint: In Aiko and Miranda's case, but not Randolph's, the casting animation makes their secondary class obvious, assuming you recognize the spell.) Also, rez signet wouldn't be an option. I did not misspeak when I asked which spells they were casting (but note that enchantments are a type of spell).

The warrior is castin a monk prot spell. Probably Rebirth, as it has a long cast time so you could get the shot.

Ha ha, you underestimate my speed with the Print Screen key, although at a 2 second cast time, Miranda is casting the slowest spell of the three (in fact, more than the casting time of the other two combined). Hers will be the hardest to guess, I suspect, since I grabbed the pic before the unique part of the animation for this spell was in full bloom. It gets much, much bigger and brighter as the symbol fades away... Same spell, a second later in the animation. I had in fact originally intended to get a screenshot of the flashier part of this spell for the wallpaper, but then as I was taking screen shots I noticed she looks to the sky early on in the casting, and decided I wanted that looking to the heavens pose more than I wanted flashy magic.

And last but not least, the Morrigans complete my set of 1600x1200 wallpapers for my characters. Fiona Morrigan - she used to be something of a psychic vampire, but now she's more interested in the real thing... Quinn Morrigan - when political power is no longer an option, magical power will have to do...
