As a lady gamer I always hear how wives/significant others become widows to the computer--( ) geesh.. Anywho, I was interested to hear your households' take on it. Maybe we can get Dr. Moa to address the "issue" once the game is fully released. Oh, and pardon the pronoun usage-- only have so much room to type the answers.

I would have voted for number 4, but I have an outstanding Dr. Moa question that I need help with.

I suppose I could have voted any one of the middle four. But sometimes it feels like the one I did vote for: "My lawyer..."

I voted the last one, as I am currently single, however I can call significant other my cats (they are like ppl, no I am not creepy and married to them, ew), in that case, they like the chance to sit on my lap for hours while I play

Cat's aren't creepy.. I have a small zoo here.. 2 cats and 2 dogs. Of course the cats are the size of small dogs and the dogs are the sizes of small horses...go figure

no, cats are great, I was refering to me being kinda creepy for counting them as a significant other, lol My cats are simply the size of cats, however my neighbors dog is the size of a cat, odd

Well, I have a wife, a baby, and three dogs in need of my time...but I guess it's not really my time.
Coming home and staring at the computer all night is not good enough for them...they actually want me to interact, talk to them, color with them and feed them.
Is it a drag? Not really...I mean, I do have a wife, a baby, and three dogs that love me. But it is tough juggling my obsession to escape into a game world, and be present in the real. Especially when your a selfish, oldest-sibling type person like myself...plus I'm male...so the whole world revolves around my...you know. Plus, on top of all that, I have other interests (poetry, music), and of course, at least 40 hours a week I have to work (a job I could care less about).
During the Beta weekends I might be able to get away with playing more. But after the game goes live I will have to get used to and be happy with 9-2 (or 3 or 4) on Friday and Saturday nights, then a couple hours here and there during the week.

It is hard to be torn between work, games, real life, and family, very hard. Not enough hours in the day for everything. One of my idols, Jim Farris or 'Xaa', is an author, illustrator, composer, game modder, and family man, yet he still has time to listen to people's questions, and answer them, it's amazing.

Notice how the subject to this thread has changed to "Re: How does your "significant other" feel about G" .... Exactly which G and where is the forum trying to direct us? (disclaimer for my posts thus far: I had one schmaaaaa of a day...no serious thought from me tonight)

hmm, G could be the 'young people's' term for cool people, like "Hey G, what's up?" or something
(my posts are very random, as today I have experienced a wide range of emotions, movies are like that...)

I never know the time, I have about 5 clocks/watches in my computer area, each one with a different time... 1 is exactly 6 minutes fast, another is 2 minutes slow, another is accurate to the offical time, another has the time in Russia (I don't know...), another is set with 'work time' which various from real time on a daily amount. Yeah, so I never know the real time.
(wow, this post was dang random... no more turky sandwiches....)

Oh the days of not getting to bed til the next day...that was so much fun...at least what I remember of it.......or maybe it was just my diet of No-doze and Yoohoo that's making me think that.

The lady and I have a LAN setup and ALWAYS play together. Being in the same room really limits the need to type chat as we are 3 feet from each other but facing different directions, heh. Online gaming is one of our sweetest sins...
