9 of 10 characters is trough Nightfall, it's just my monk left and he's parked in the gate of pain.

Working on number 6 now. Didn't really expect to get this far, but here I am. Have finished with Monk, Rit, War, Dervish, Necro (in that order) and my paragon is in Kourna and pushing forward.

Y'all have way too much time on your hands. I'm looking at about half that if I'm lucky.

Through Nightfall I've finished: wa, ele, me, de, pa, ra. Monk is at gate of pain.
Three of those have completed all three chapters.

One of these days I'm going to have to go back and finish my first character. Still haven't seen the end of NF yet. I have a Necro that's in the underworld but I've long since forgotten where I need to be. The maps in that part of the world are all but useless. Last time I was there Shiro handed me my back side on a platter and I haven't been back since.

Shiro is pretty easy with the right party makeup. I have an Ele that is almost there. I'll yell at ya when I get there.

I'll have a Shiro rematch within the next week or so too. Also, if I'm online just shout out and I would be happy crush him again.
(When he's the last one left, make sure all degen causing skills/spells are OFF. He won't use that crazy impossible strike or whatever it is that wipes out tanks.)

Impossible Odds. Hex degen isn't the problem, but conditions are. Especially Deep Wound. Other conditions like bleeding, weakness, and poison are no-no's as well.
Back on topic, I just ran a Nightfall ranger from start to finish in 33 hours. Thanks to Ronin, Lily, and Eld for help on the last 2 missions. That was my 6th character - wa/ne/mo/pa/el/ra.

Just finally got Aerina through NF last week, and then last night vanquished my first area (Plains of Jarin). I know I'm literally years behind the rest of you guys, but I'm tryin'.... I can't imagine taking another character through though because I have so many other things left to do like skill capping, vanquishing and elite and challenge missions. I'll need help to do the elites and challenges, so sing out if you want to help.
I did bring Inthast over to Kourna, but that was mainly because I like to stare at him. ;D

I'm always excited to do elite areas- and i pretty much only play now to help others out. Are there certain hours you tend to play?

Thanks, AD. It's hit or miss these days because I have lots of IRL obligations. In general Monday and Thursday evenings are best, but I have been trying to sneak some time in on the weekends too. I'm not sure you want to attempt elite areas with me though. I'm not the best player out there (or even close) and I have mostly only capped skills for Rangers and Mesmers with a few Warrior and Monk skills thrown in there. I don't play a lot of characters which means my heroes have limited elites too.

Give me a shout whenever you need a hand, I love elite areas and smiting Boss Monsters to smithereens The tougher the better....including Vaquishing. These days I am mainly working on drunkard, party, Z rank and just horsing round...

I'm not too particular about builds in elite areas- especially since I'm only familiar with the ones for DOA (at end of post). Personally, I feel that everyone should have the opportunity to try it and ability to finish it or else the game is poorly designed. Monday-Weds I'm pretty busy, but Sunday and Thursday nights typically work well for me. DoA Platoon Build: www.gwpvx.com/Build:Team_-_DoA_PlatoonThe most important part is to find a good Imbagon (I have one, but am only so-so). After that, I think a lot of it is optional - especially the second character's build.

I pretty much agree with you, ASYA, but I think in the case of someone like me who is a casual PvE player, the only way I really have a chance to succeed in elite areas is by playing with guildies or Pugs. And in that case, I would like to be able to fit into a team build well enough that I know I could contribute a bit. I'm not sure that's possible with my Ra/Me. I could start some new characters - looks like necros, rits and paragons are what is called for. It will take me a long time to learn to play them though - and it will also take me some time to advance them through Nightfall. Thanks all for your offers of help!
